Learning to Live with MS

Welcome to my blog, a place that I created to share my experience with multiple sclerosis. My name is Andrea and I live in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory and am 38 years old. I had my first MS episode on April 12, 2020 when I suddenly lost my ability to see using both eyes. It all happened relatively quickly, over the period of a couple of days. All of this was right smack in the middle of Covid-19 so I was absolutely terrified. After a few brain scans, it was suspected that I had experienced an episode of MS. After a whole bunch of steroids, I eventually got my sight back. Following another MRI in December, which showed two more lesions on my brain, I was diagnosed with Remitting Relapsing MS on January 26, 2021.

I have been experiencing tingling in my left hand on and off for the past few days. This is a sign of MS and likely will show more brain lesions on my next MRI. I am going to call my nurses, just to give them a heads up, but I don’t think that there isContinue reading “The Tingles”
